Background
During his tenure as a senior advisor at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Lovett engaged in high-level policy, political and media strategizing. He helped with the MTA’s successful push for billions of dollars in COVID-19 federal relief money, was the public outreach lead for what would be the nation’s first congestion pricing program, and served as a conduit between the agency and top state government officials.
Before that, he spent three decades as a reporter, 25 years of which was covering New York State politics, including nearly 11 years as the Daily News Albany bureau chief and more than eight years as the Albany correspondent for the New York Post.
Outside of Work
Lovett is married and a proud father of two daughters. He is a music and sports buff, having attended hundreds of concerts, including 57 and counting by Bruce Springsteen.
