Elizabeth James

Working across the nonprofit and public sector, Liz is experienced at designing strategies that center community voice and build more inclusive organizations. 

Background

An urban planner with a background in gender equity and community development, Liz is passionate about advancing participatory systems change strategies that address inequality and build local resilience. Prior to joining Ichor, she supported social justice projects at the World Bank, 100 Resilient Cities, Women's World Banking, and Generation Citizen. Liz has worked on community development and policy initiatives across multiple metropolitan areas with a particular focus on regional program scaling, partnership development, program evaluation, and knowledge management. She received her Master's in International Development Planning from NYU Wagner.

Outside of Work

Liz can be found baking, cooking, and practicing her rusty French.
