Community Team — Seattle
Bliss is an engagement professional with deep experience in forging community partnerships.
Background
Based in Seattle, Bliss is responsible for leading and facilitating discussions between community leaders and clients on a wide variety of topics including technology, inequality, race, education, public safety, and housing. He has over five years of experience in building community partnerships and coalitions with community leaders, nonprofit organizations, and private entities.
Prior to joining the Community team, Bliss worked as a Deputy Project Administrator for Bitfocus—a software company committed to using data and technology to transform Human Services and drive positive social change. In this role, Bliss engaged community leadership using multiple strategies and investing in building trusting relationships. He also helped develop subject matter expertise on the local and national policies, practices, and program models that impact the homelessness response system.
Additionally, in his previous work, Bliss has developed and facilitated community advisory groups and networks, comprised of individuals with lived experience of hunger in Washington state. The advisory groups worked on strategies that boosted support and implemented policies that positively impact individuals living with food insecurity in Washington State.
Outside of Work
Bliss lives in the greater Seattle area with his wife, Liz and two dogs, Kirko and Kodak. His hobbies include food vlogging, attending concerts and sporting events, and wine tasting.
