Amanda is a certified Geographic Information System Professional (GISP) who has many of years of experience working in the research and spatial analysis field focusing on environmental and demographic data sets.
Background
Previously the Assistant Director of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the New York State Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery (GOSR), Amanda established and maintained the GIS platform for research and spatial analysis. She developed methodologies and procedures using GIS analyses to aid in the national objective determination of natural disaster recovery projects. This effort assisted GOSR to make more informed decisions while dispensing the $4.2 Billion dollars of HUD’s CDBG-DR grant money awarded to New York State.
Her expertise in GIS, research, and project management made her the right fit for Ichor’s Brooklyn office in 2019.
Outside of Work
Amanda enjoys traveling with her family and friends and spending time outdoors with her dog, Rhea.
